Sanju

There are a lot of things that make watching "Sanju" an experience. The best according to me is the honest storytelling by Raju Hirani and Abhijat Joshi. There is not a single image-building exercise, the story portrays the character as a person who took wrong

decisions, who is a wrong son, wrong friend, wrong lover but luckily got a great father, a great friend and lots of love. There are 2 scenes to mention - in one Sanju says to his father -"You deserve a better son" and in the second tells his children to be like his father -the great Sunil Dutt and not like him. This is just a piece to depict how honestly the story comes on screen.

The chapters of "Drugs" "Jail" and Mumbai Blasts are very effectively handled-probably in the best manner but the section which is the soul of the movie is the beautiful story of a father and his son. I always say that the Great Sunil Dutt deserves a full movie but this movie too totally does justice to his greatness by presenting before us his courage, spirit, struggles, and way of living. The lessons, the advice which he gives to his son are sound advice for everyone.

Ranbir Kapoor is flawless as Sanjay Dutt, other than following the mannerisms he has totally acquired the soul of the character too which makes this performance a special one. Vicky Kaushal is beyond brilliance in his act. However, for me the best one comes from Paresh Rawal as he has done full justice in performing the character of the great soul.

Anushka Sharma, Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Jim Sarbh, Sayaji Shinde and all the cast shine brilliantly too.

An authentic, honest, entertaining, soulful movie that will keep you engrossed and spellbound for the entire duration.

It is the movie of the year and an experience of a lifetime.

Go for it!!
