"Manmarziyan" will surprise you. You know it is the Anurag Kashyap movie, but after the shuddh desi ending going through all the contours, you will be stunned that how the man is known for dark, neo-noir, brutal, surgical thrillers has made such a mature love story, which can be called one of the best and extremely relevant. Maybe because the man is versatile and genius.
The story by Kanika Dhillon is superlative, it forms the strong base on which the director has painted his colors, the dialogues and lyrics are superb.
The movie has songs flowing throughout and Amit Trivedi once again has proved to be a winner.
This year belongs to Vicky Kaushal. After "Raazi" and " Sanju", he has rocked again.
Tapsee Pannu delivers her best performance. Living this character is difficult, but she has performed it naturally with ease. She is flawless.
Abhishek Bachchan in his comeback has made the character his own. Going by the role given to him, any actor may turn into Ajay Devgan from "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam " or Shahrukh Khan from "Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi". But he is no where inspired from any and made this role a one which will be remembered for his performance. He underplays the character beautifully with his best punches in the climax.
"Manmarziyan " is definitely to be watched exclusively in theatres.
